Big Boy Bed!

We decided that Kale was big enough to sleep in a bed. We thought that with the move, that it would be a good time to get rid of the crib. He has been great! We haven't had any problems with him getting up at night. Good Job Kale, you are getting to be such a big boy! Next comes the potty!!

We finally got moved. It was a quick move, which was kind of nice, because we didn't have to wait around and live in a house that is half packed. It was we really hard to say goodbye to our house and the neighborhood. It was our first house, and we worked so hard to get into it. It was the house that we brought Kale home to, and he will probably not even remember it. I had made some great friends, that I won't get to see as much. My best of friends Sharma summed it up best for me; It wasn't really goodbye, but it sure felt like it.

We got everything move down to Leamington on Wednesday the 15th. Almost all of our stuff is still in boxes and being stored for now. We have big plans for the house.

I don't know if most of you know but we bought Nancy's (Devin's moms) house. We are building on a mother in law apartment for her to live in that is going to be about 960 sq. ft. For now, we are all living under the same roof. I don't really think it is that bad. There are 2 bedrooms and a large living room in the basement, that we have made into our space.

We have a long list of things that we want to do, but first thing first. We are waiting on the permits, and the the contractor we hired can get started on the addition. As for the inside, we are knocking down a wall, to open up the stairs going to the basement. The Kitchen is going to get a over haul. The cupboards are getting refinished with a distressed antique white. We are getting new counter tops (green laminate just doesn't do it for me), we are moving around some of the cupboards, and finally we are getting all stainless appliances.

This is just the start. I plan on painting all the rooms and putting up new molding. We are putting dark laminate wood floors in the formal living room & hall way, new carpet in the nursery and master bedroom, revamping the 1/2 bath, and list goes on and on and on.

We are really excited about all the projects ahead of us. Everyone is invited to come anytime, I just won't promise what kind of shape the house will be in.

Update!

We SOLD our house (hopefully)!!! The buyers want to close on the 14th of this month, so we have 2 weeks to move out. I won't be doing much blogging for a while, because I have to pack my house up, and then Dev & I leave for Mexico on the 18th! I will catch up when things settle down.

P.S. We are moving to Leamington. Dev will be commuting to Comcast, and I will be staying home to be a mommy. I gave my two weeks at Beehive on Wednesday, my last day will be the 15th (YEA)!!
