Cake Decorating!

I have this neighbor named Sharma who is amazing! I sometimes call her Sharma Stewart (Martha Stewart). She can cook, bake you name it. Anyway, she can decorate cakes very well, and I had been bugging her to teach me how. After one night of her teaching, this is what I came out with. I am very proud of myself. I will be making Kale's birthday cakes from now on!

Our New Car!

We have been looking for a new car for a few months now. At first, we were or rather I was set on getting a Dodge Journey. I loved everything about them, so went on the such. I HAD to have a red one, and apparently red is hard to come by. We started out at Ken Garff in West Valley, they had a red Journey, but it was a little more that we wanted to pay. We told them what we would give them for it, and of course they couldn't do it, but they would find one in our price range. They search and they search "within a 500 mile radius, and there are no red Journey's out there, so you will have to get another color." Well, I had been keeping tabs on 2 red journeys in the Salt Lake valley, so I called Larry H. Miller dodge, and they found me a red one it Colorado, and it would cost me $800 to get it here.

Devin decided to get on the internet and do a little searching. He wasn't ever set on the Journey, so he thought that we should explore our options. We ended up at Carmax looking at a couple of different RED crossovers. I test drove a Chrysler Pacifica, and loved it, but it had been smoked in, and I didn't want that. They told us to such the other Carmax's on the internet, and if we found one that we liked they could have it transfered in. We found a great one in Costa Masa, California, we called Carmax, and they began the transfer prosses that would take 14 days and $300. On Monday (7/7/08) I called to see if it was going to be here by Friday (7/11/08) because we were planning to go to Fish Lake for the weekend, and we wanted to take it with us. Our Salesman told me that he would know let me know by Wednesday. Thursday came, and I still hadn't heard anything, so I called Carmax, and our salesman left for vacation on Tuesday! They transfered me to someone else, who tells me that my car wouldn't be here for several weeks!! (I am not very happy at this point) I am now talking to a manager asking him what in the crap he is going to do to get my car here, because his stupid salesman told me that it would only take 14 days. He tells me that there isn't really anything that they can do for me to get it here quicker, but that they can refund my $$$ and find me another car. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER CAR, I WANT THIS RED PACIFICA!! Anyway, they ended up refunding our $$$, which we bought 2 plane tickets to California, flew down there on Friday morning, bought the car, and drove it back. Nancy (Dev's Mom) was kind enough to take Kale for us, so we didn't have to take him with us. We spent the night in Mesquite, which Carmax paid for, and drove the rest of the way on Saturday. The Carmax in Costa Masa was awesome!! Our salesman, Marques, picked us up at the airport, and was great. I would probably by a car from Carmax, again, but not have it transfered, and, if I find one I like in CA, I would definetly fly there to pick it up!!

Washing of the Feet!!

Kale loves to go outside without his shoes on. He runs all over the yard, and in the garage. When I bring in him, he wants to wash his feet in the kitchen sink. I sit him on the counter next to the sink so he can put his feet under the water. He loves this. I soap up his feet, and he sticks them under the water. When we are done, I let him play for a bit before he gets off the counter. He thinks it is really funny to claps his hands in the water so it will splash on his face. I love it when he does this because he is so cute and it makes me laugh!
