Potty!

One Saturday, I put Kale down for a nap. I could hear him playing in his crib which he does for a while before he falls asleep. Away, after a little bit, he started crying. I let him cry (because I am a mean mom), but the crying continued, so I went up to inspect. I walked in his room, and there he stood in his crib with no pants and no diaper and a BIG pooh on his sheets. I wanted to get mad at him, but I just yelled to Dev. The first thing that Dev said when he walked in Kale's room, before he saw the pooh was "it smells like someone took a dump in here!" Then he saw the "dump" and we started to laugh. I put Kale in the bath tube while Dev took the sheets on the bed. I talked to Kale and told him that was very bad and that he has to keep his diaper on or go to the potty like a big boy. So we went to Target and took him to see the potty. We bought one that you sit on the toilet (because I am not going to dump his crap into the toilet when he can go on it) and a stool for him to get on the toilet. Today (Sunday) he went pee and pooh in the toilet. I am not going to push the potty, because he is just 1 1/2 years old, but I guess it is a good start!

Nashville!

Devin Won a trip to Nashville from work. We Have never been to Nashville before, so we thought that it would be a fun trip. The trip included our airfare, Hotel in downtown Nashville, $1250.00 spending money, an autographed guitar (that will soon be on Ebay), and the "best" part wasthe tickets to the CMA's (Country Music Awards)! This was very funny to us, because Devin & I are NOT country fans! Devin loves Metallica & Def Leppard, while I love U2. There are about 5-10 country songs that we ever listen too, and most of them are by Carrie Underwood, and we like her because she was a American Idol and we LOVE American Idol.

So we left Kale between my mom and Dev's mom, and went to Nashville for 3 days. We decided that Nashville is a rather scummy city, but once you get out of the city into the country it would be worth living there. We had a really good time, just the 2 of us....I did miss Kale though! The CMA's weren't as bad as we thought, but we decided that if you are a big country fan, that your should go. The only song we knew was "Summer Nights, by Kid Rock, and yes he did perform it. So now, Devin & I can say that we have been to the CMA's! I don't know if that is a cool thing or not, but at least we got to go!

DISNEYLAND!!

We went to Disneyland for Halloween this year with my Family. My VERY awesome dad paid for our room at the Paradise Piers Hotel, and our 4 day pass park hopper passes, we just had to get there and pay for our food and souvenirs. We have a GREAT time! The first day we went into the park, Kale was amazed. He sat right up to the front of his stroller, and looked and pointed to everything. We took him on anything that he could ride. He didn't take a nap at all on the first day, but the other days, we went back to our hotel for a bit so he could, it made the second trip on the day much better. Devin & I have decided that we are going to try and go to Disneyland every 3 years. We loved it, and we loved watching Kale even more!

P.S. I dressed up with my sister & neices on Halloween, we were all from the 80's!!
