We love the 80's

We went to a Comcast Halloween party, and we HAD to dress up. I already had a costume because my sister Janae, my neices and I are dressing up on Halloween, we will be at Disneyland together. Anyway, we went to the Halloween store to look for something for Dev, and we found him the perfect wig. When he put it on, he instantly because PWT from the 80's, and I also was from the 80's I found my stuff at the DI even the belt!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with our friends the Sorenson's. Kale loved running up and down the rows of pumpkins. He favorite part was all the tractors that there was that you could get on. I am pretty sure he is his grandpa's kid!

The Table

I have been wanting a new BIGGER kitchen table. Everything that I liked was more that we wanted to spend. One weekend when we were in Leamington visiting Dev's mom, we were driving past the dump, and noticed a table with 4 chairs and a leaf sitting next to it. (NOTE: In small town Leamington, you have to haul your trash to the dump on your own....no garbage truck service) We went up and looked at it. Dev got out to check it out. WOW he said, this is a solid wood table, and it looks pretty nice. My response, I don't want a table that someone left at the dump...we drive off. Later in the day, I say to Dev, maybe we should go look at the table again. Maybe I could sand it down and refinish it. We drive to the dump, load the table in the truck, and haul it to Dev's moms garage. We went down the next weekend, I started to sand. I sanded all day, I thought that my arms were going to fall off! Anyway, after much hard work, I have a new FREE table that came from the dump, and I am dang proud of it. It turn out looking GREAT!

Catching UP!

So I have been a bit of a slacker on the blogging lately! Will be catching up on all of the events that have been going on in our lives in the last few months!

Fergie

Dev, brought home the Fergie "the dutchness" cd from work today. He borrowed it from a coworker. We put it in the cd player, and Kale started to dance like crazy. Devin and him were in the kitched dancing away. I am not sure if this is a good thing. Dev said that it is just like listening to 80's pop, because Fergie has long hair!

The Screw

Last Thursday I was in the kitchen cooking for a party that I was having. Kale was also in the kitchen playing in the cupboards. I looked over at him, and could tell that he had something in his mouth. I went over to him and told him to spit it out. He promptly shut his mouth. I picked him up and got him to open his mouth. Inside we two 1inch screws. I started to fish them out even though he didn't want me to. I successfully got one out, and as I was trying for the 2nd one, he swallowed it. I call my sister Janae, and asked her what she thought I should do. I ended up calling the Ped Dr. and was able to get Kale in to see her at 7:30 that night. He swallowed it around 6:00. Like I said, I was having a party, and so my ever so WONDERFUL husband took Kale to the DR. They took and X-ray and sure enough, it was in his stomach plane as day. The Dr. told Dev that he would pooh it out, but to keep and eye on him for any weirdness. Kale went to bed just fine, and woke up about 11:30 crying. I could tell that he was trying to throw up, but nothing was coming up. I settled him down and went back to bed. at about 1;30, he woke again, doing the same thing, only this time he wouldn't let me put him down. I draped a towel between him and me and laid down. the next thing I know, he is puking, puking and puking some more. Dev and I were worried about the screw coming back up, so we took him to the ER at 2:00am. They took another x-ray, and the screw was still in his belly only it was farther down. We came home, I got puked on again only this time with no towel, and he went to bed and slept in until 9:30. The Dr. told us to keep and eye on his pooh, until we find the screw. Well, I took him in on Monday for another x-ray, and the screw was gone. We unfortunately didn't find it in his pooh (thank goodness), but it is know longer in him!
